Intramuros is the historic centre and oldest district of Manila, The San Agustin Church inside the wall is a Unesco Heritage and for the first time i was able to explore the whole gated area. In the protective walls there are churches, monasteries, convents. In 1945, during the battle of Manila between American, Filipino and Japanese forces, Intramuros was almost completely destroyed.
