Every evening in winter, the crows start to gather in south Minneapolis. They roost in trees and on roofs. They circle in the sky cawing at one another. Tonight, they're were hundreds maybe even a thousand of them. They kept coming out of the winter sun setting in the south west. Images of flying monkeys from the wizard of Oz kept coming to mind and above them a hawk was flying maybe hoping for an easy meal.
