Toucan Me in the Morning
A channel-billed toucan was the first sight I saw on an early morning out birdwatching with friends. This is the only species of toucan in Trinidad, and it's one you can't miss with that huge beautiful glossy beak! This specimen was relaxing in the sunrise and was quite content to give us a few shots. The channel-billed toucan is fairly common throughout the island where there is deciduous forest or abandoned fruit estates.
