I feel a great connection with the animals I photograph, many of which are endangered. This is a part of a series of animal portraits where I utilize lighting and focus on the eyes to emphasize this connection and to show them at their most beautiful. I love searching for and finding moments when the sunlight illuminates their intense and fascinating faces.
