It’s the middle of winter, and in my home town nicknamed the city of sunshine, the snow never falls. Its a Wednesday and on this rare occasion I have a day off work, so I decide to throw my camera gear in the car and go in search of snow. After driving two hours north I arrived at a beautiful place called Hiruzen. A mountainous region where snow in winter can reach up to two meters. My car cannot go any further so I pull into a service area. Out of the window, this is the scene that welcomed me.

Fantastic moment. Your Shot photographer Annie Degré captioned this photo with: "Ice cold drinks :)" which made me laugh. Some people need their coffee, not this woman; I hope she found what she was looking for... I like how wide you shot this frame, which clearly reveals how much snow there is — it is almost double her height, she had to climb up the snow bank! Great seeing KG.
