On my first trip to Southeast Asia I was fortunate enough to meet up with a friend of a friend who is a local Cambodian photographer based out of Siem Reap. One day we took a trip out to the temple complex of Beng Mealea touring the photographing the ruins. Speaking Kmer, the Cambodian language, we started a conversation with a young and striking monk also touring the complex. He was gentle and quite but allowed us to photograph him as we walked through this unforgettable landscape.
