Set on a hilltop overlooking a deep bowl of emerald velvet, I sat on my veranda waiting for India to stir to wakefulness. The first golden rays of dawn lazily poke at the dewy plantations of shimmering mint coloured tea bushes, all as trim as urban hedgerows. My heart surged, I already missed India an knew at once that not a day would pass without me aching after it. I knew I would give anything to be able to walk out of my London home to stand here, at this very spot.
