For me, the people I meet along the way are always the most memorable part of a trip. Even the smallest of interactions can yield incredible impact, as was the case in my journey to understand the success of Grupo Ecologico’s conservation economy in the Sierra Gordas. I had the opportunity to meet with the people responsible for protecting one of the most unique environments on the planet, as well as their own culture and heritage. Their empowering stories evoked reverence and retrospection.
