Edit Photo Details House of Livia Drusilla.   #rome #livia #augustus_place #leadpipes
Within the excavated Augustus complex (within the Forum) is an apartment reserved for his wife Livia Drusilla, whom he married immediately after divorcing Scribonia. He took Livia from her husband Tiberius Nero, with whom she already had a son - the future emperor Tiberius. Lead pipes (in picture) have the name "Julia Augusta" (also known as Livia Drusilla) stamped on them. Whew!
