On my first trip to New Orleans, I found the buildings and the people more interesting than the party on Bourbon Street. It was as if it was meant to be, this man with bright orange shoes standing outside Preservation Hall perfectly framed by the wrought iron doorway. I had to take my chance before anyone else walked into the frame.
