Jewelry Ice 18044
The ice blocks are from Tokachigawa River in Toyokoro, Hokkaido. They break into the sea, and then get beached. Most of them are transparent. A friend of mine took me to the beach in 2012. The ice blocks were so beautiful in the glow of the morning. The color changed from blue to red, orange and then light blue. They were just like jewelry! That's why the name "Jewelry Ice" instantly came to mind. It's now a common name! According to the New York Times, it's a rare sight in the world.
