In May 2017, a group of friends and I traveled to Cuba. The only problem? My friends were staying for four days. I would have to stay alone if I wanted to stay longer. The idea of traveling alone frightened me. But some places-I reasoned- just needed to be experienced with my own eyes. I took this photo on the first day of the solo leg of my trip. This trip changed my life because it proved my theory: some places MUST be seen with our own eyes & we shouldn't let the fear of going alone stop us.
