I was standing knee deep in the water behind a big dead bush trying to get some night herons when I heard a slight splash behind me. The osprey had tried for a fish close to the surface I'm guessing, because he didn't dive in. He was unsuccessful and on his way out he came my way. I only got two shots and couldn't suck the lens in fast enough. I'm not sure how this one focused so well but I'm grateful for the adrenalin moment! Beautiful tail feathers!
