I had recently moved from Ohio to Washington. I was in a process of discovering, and finding meaning in a new place. This picture was taken on my first day when I finally arrived at Seattle; it represents the journey. I was on a ferry to Bremberton. A mist shrouded everything, but the sun eventually came out and stared burning through the clouds, slowly and gradually revealing the landscape. First, I could see the sound, and then the mountains. The journey unravelled.
