Pictured is my girlfriend, an infectiously bubbly person, but also one of the millions of women struggling with clinical anxiety. I started documenting this contrast between having happiness as something others see in her so strongly, and the tumultuous, unpredictable anxiety happening underneath. The struggle in trying to keep her light afloat has inspired me, and I hope it will inspire you. In honor of #WomensHistoryMonth, I will be posting what I have so far for the first time as a series.
