The tiny village of Meglisalp is only accessible in summer, as it is located on a high plateau in the middle of the mountains, in the canton of Appenzell. We hiked up there to the inn and we were so tired that we went to bed super early. We heard the “Alpensegen” being sang outside around 9 o’clock and it was magical. The atmosphere in Appenzell is always very special.
