Joan and Carl sit together inside of their home of 54 years. The were married in 1950 and together have built a beautiful family that includes sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. After 67 years of marriage the mutual love and respect they have for one another still shines brightly. Love in it's newness is sweet. Love that flourishes through trials and time is inspirational. Knowing them and seeing their love has inspired many, including myself.

This is such a beautiful portrait Meg. I love the story it tells through all the framed pictures hanging on the wall behind Joan and Carl. I love Your Shot photographer Laurie Fix's comment to your photo: "Love, family, memories, life. They are definitely blessed. Not that many people will have this in their lifetime. I love this photograph! I wish it were me!"
