Chilika Lake in Odisha state on the east coast of India is the largest coastal lagoon in India and the second largest in the world. A 32 km long outer channel near Satapada connects the lagoon to the Bay of Bengal. The 2 hour long boat ride from Satpada via Chilika lake to the beach with bronzed sand was tonic to our eyes and kept us on our toes with a promise of dolphin sighting.
