    Dhakis are traditional drummers who play the dhak (drum) during Hindu religious festivals, mainly in Bengal. These drums are the most essential part of Durga Puja, though after festival these Dhakis just disappear from our eyes, and just live their life in a very struggling situation. And above all the art of playing the dhak is now being referred to as a dying profession,this is sad but true.
