Greece,Nestani.Every year the locals gather at the top of Mount Goulas to celebrate the feast of Saint George. They wear traditional costumes and sing and dance traditional songs. It is a custom that has its roots in the ancient Dionysian Feasts and announces the coming of Spring and the vegetation of the Earth.
First, thank you for writing a detailed caption that describes what I am looking at. I really appreciate it very much Marios. Because now I more thoroughly enjoy your photo as I learn something new. I love the wide and raised perspective, which better reveals the traditional costumes and breathtaking location of this celebration. My eye slowly works its way through your frame, studying the moment you documented. Well done.
