Some baby zebras are born "ginger" - with Brown/White stripes, but this changes as they mature to the classic Black and White. The babies' hair is also longer than the adult one, as can be seen here. This picture was taken in the Ngorongoro crater after it rained all night. When we got to the crater, the rain stopped and it seemed as if all the animals were thankful and happy for the rains. Well, maybe not all of them - this baby looked somewhat grumpy as some babies are when they finish a bath
