The Wedge in Newport Beach was a favorite place to go to take photographs when the surf was high. This location has exceptionally large surf created by a nearby jetty. Only expert boogie boarders and surfers are permitted in the water. This picture captures a boogie boarder just before this large wave curled down on top of him and he disappeared into the whitewater.
