Although considered a rather unattractive and unconventional beach, Gileston has it own unique and bespoke qualities. The water outlets and pumping station have added a sublime beauty that I have always wanted to capture just right. Using a long exposure on a very choppy sea with an ambient sunset softened by hazy clouds gave me a surreal image that encapsulates just what it is that drew me to that unconventional shoot location.
