the best place to read in the city
the los angeles public library system is one of the largest in the world. the central library, in downtown la, was originallly built in 1926. but after a fire in 1986 that destroyed part of the library, the city raised money to rebuild what was destroyed. the result was this beautiful, windowed atrium that extends 7 levels and seamlessly connects to the remaining original building.
