I stood in a farmer's field for 40 minutes hoping this adult female snowy owl would fly past me, into the wind and sunlight. It was very late in the day. A horse drawn buggy approached on the dirt road where she was perched. I guessed it would spook her. It did, and she flew right past and right across the field. I exposed for the white feathers on her face.
