During one of my day trips, I ended up in the small town Greenville, FL. Ray Charles Robinson was an American singer-songwriter, musician and composer known as Ray Charles. He was a pioneer in the genre of soul music during the 1950s by fusing rhythm and blues, gospel, and blues styles into his early recordings with Atlantic Records. He spent the first 7 years of his life in this small town before going completely blind from glaucoma. His music will remain forever etched in my mind.
