A cheetah rests on a termite mound while in the midst of its morning hunt. Surrounded by the open plains of the Masai Mara, the cheetah gains advantage by utilizing the slight elevation gain of the termite mound giving it a view above the top level of the grasses nearby. Shot in black and white, I felt I was able to pull out the contrast of the cheetah's spotted pattern.
