    As a birth and bereavement photographer, I have the profound honor of witnessing some of the only memories a parent will make with their child. To be in the room and meet a baby so few people will ever meet is the highest privilege.

    Megan, Your use of depth of field was extremely effective in the storytelling of this moment. Your focus on the way these fragile feet are revealed in the fold of the blanket communicates a story without having to know any of the particular details in order to understand what's happening. The focus also makes the moment captured so much more heartrending. This is a deeply moving image.
