Edit Photo Details The Great Clark Terry   #thegreatclarkterryplayingatthemontereyjazzfestival #taughtmilesdavistoplaytrumpet
Clark Terry was one of the world's greatest trumpet players. He taught Miles Davis how to play the trumpet. He played with all the great "Big Bands", like Duke Ellington and Count Basie and he was in the Johnny Carson Tonight Show Band for 30 years. Later in life he often taught young students to play and he didn't charge them anything for doing it. He was a wonderful and much loved man, in the music world. If you've never heard him play and sing "Mummbles, you should. You'll never forget it.
