This was the year of my first trip to Africa (south of the Equator, Kruger NP) and probably one of my most inspiring experiences when we parked our jeep in the middle of a small river bed, and observed herd of buffalos passing by peacefully. This calf and his mother stopped and looked at us for a while - my first encounter with wild African buffalos that have me coming back to Africa since almost every year.
