I was fortunate enough to visit the Great Smokey Mountain this past year. And it was an amazing experience to see the places affected by the fire from the year before. Especially in this area of the park called Cades Cove. A good portion of the area was burnt and left the fossilized like trees. But what was even more amazing was being able to see the new plants and trees starting to grow from where such chaos had once seemed to take everything away.
