    Reported by:

While driving down the coast, we came upon a group of Australian pelicans on the beach enjoying the fish scraps fed to them by the local fishery. As I stood taking pictures, this little chap (or girl) came straight at me and stood in front of me. It looked me right in the eye, turning slightly this way and that, as if it were posing for me. It seemed as interested in me as I was in him/her. I could have touched it without even stretching my arm out. It was wonderful. I felt very special.
