There's a 150-year old elm tree on the river bank of the Tokachigawa River in Toyokoro, Hokkaido. The symmetrical shape of its leaves has attracted many visitors throughout the year. Toyokoro is where I was born and raised. My father photographed the tree for 10 years and so have I, for seven years now. I don't have a family home there any more, so I feel like the tree is my home.
