A truly inspirational day. Hearing the guides talk about the early days of the space age, how they personally knew, and worked with, the first groups of astronauts and what they had to overcome to get off the planet. And the tolls it took. Picture showing the remains of Pad 34. A place to remember the Apollo 1 crew, Gus, Ed and Roger, and everyone else that pioneered space travel to get us where we are today. A visit here had been on my to-do-list all my life. I finally got here.
