My identity gets perceived by others in the form of the features of my face. In the context of social media like Your Shot, I can post an image of myself like this one, which seems less artfully romanticized than the previous one I just posted, but which is equally as much simultaneously both true and an illusion. There was a considerable amount of artifice involved in creating this self-portrait.
