Whilst making my way home along the seafront promenade I came across Ben who was playing his melodium entertaining those walking along the prom. I stopped and chatted and he told me that he had been working all day, and that he regularly comes to the seafront to play after work, preferring to be here than in the town itself, where the young guitar players usually hang out. He said that playing this instrument was a family tradition and one taught him by his father.
