On Orange Row
Orange Row... This curiously named street in Brighton, England, is yards from busy tourist areas with chic cafes and niche shops thronged with crowds. But Orange Row, sandwiched insconspicuously between them, sits quietly ignored. The street dates from the early 1800s. Today its west side (pictured) houses an array of small businesses, all with a distinctive orange street number (top right). But while many visit the adjacent streets, few wander down historic Orange Row.
