    While hiking, I was getting that feeling of being watched. Across the road, I saw this rather large bird, I later researched to find out it is a barred owl. The owl followed my every move. I tested its gaze as I walked back and forth and the owl turned its head to watch me while the lower portion of its body was perfectly still. Before I walked away, I was able to take this photo.
