Edit Photo Details The weight of the world on a boy.
A group of volunteers from an the NGO H.E.R.A went door to door in Shuto Orizari helping the Roma Community learn about their rights to healthcare. As the little boy listens to his mom tell the story of not being able to get medical help for her epileptic child, his childhood slowly disappears. Meanwhile, the other children, unaware of the issues are happy to have visitors. The Roma Community is discriminated against in Macedonia which makes it tough for them to get the healthcare they need.

I agree with Your Shot photographer Tammy Neufeld who commented, "This photo breaks my heart and makes me smile at the same time, thanks for the explanation into this." Your photo is a perfect example of why captions are important, your words tell the story behind the frame and make me care about what is happening. I love how you composed this image. Fantastic. Well done Kelly. Very well done.
