Ren and Cape
Ren Chapman is a household name in the freediving community. He is an accomplished safety organizer for freediving competitions around the world. But to call him just that is an understatement. He is also a great diver, sailor, hat-maker, friend, husband and father.
We did a cenote trip through Mexico in February and he brought his 4 month old son, Cape, along for the trip.
Cape was brought into this world underwater (water-birth) and he seems to still like it!
Alex, this photo blows my mind every time I come across it again. I love the light rays shining through the surface on this father and son. I can't get over how cool the science is behind us losing the ability to hold our breath as infants. Thank you for showing us such a unique story!
