Deco lines of the Walter Taylor Bridge named after its designer and financier who long dreamed of a vehicle/pedestrian bridge across the Brisbane River near where he lived. It's a bridge I drive over often and was delighted to finally have the time to explore it more on foot. Formerly a toll bridge it was completed in 1936 with both towers being occupied until around 10 years ago. The cables themselves were surplus from the construction of the Sydney Harbor Bridge.
