Havasu fall along the Havasupai trail at night. "Havasu" means blue-green water and "pai" means people. The Havasupai tribe have been living in Grand Canyon for several hundred years. There is a year round permanently populated village about 8 miles into the canyon from the trail head. Their groceries , mail etc... are transported by pack mules operated by the villagers.
