I was waiting eagerly for their arrival and today I spotted them. These Burrowing Owls "hang out" along a farm road near my work place in Davis, CA. Their burrows are right below the road and there are several colonies of these owls along a two mile stretch. Hope to see some young ones soon peeping just above the burrows.
