The area of the Siberian skate extends from the Pechora River to the Chukchi Peninsula. In addition, the species nests in Kamchatka and the Commander Islands. The bird prefers dense thickets near the banks of rivers, inhabits, however, also in the tundra. Siberian horse is a migratory bird that hibernates in Indonesia and the Philippines.
