As an outdoor photographer, I've learned that having patience is the key to capturing a perfect moment. One day at the lake I was getting ready to pack up and leave when two Great blue herons flew in. Very carefully, I pulled my camera back out and watched as the two started prancing around in what looked like a choreographed dance. Later that day I researched that herons do this to defend feeding grounds. Nature is truly amazing.
