The most famous and old theatre of Lyon. It saw over than 200 years of dramatical art as well as 2 theatres in Paris. As for other districts in Lyon, this theatre has been built where a convent and a church had taken place from 1407 till 1789. After the French Revolution, a primary theater has been inaugurated in 1792. A fire destroyed it in 1871 and another one was erected and inaugurated in 1877 but burned again in 1880.
