Little Spider hunter Dad...!
This family consists of sunbirds and spiderhunters. They are small birds with a decurved bill. They are sexually dimorphic, with the male having colourful plumages, while the females generally look alike. They are the Old World equivalence of hummingbirds of the New World. They feed mainly on nectar, although insects are taken too. Spiderhunters have longer and more decurved bills then sunbirds. I am following/learning this couple in my patio for about a month now. My first bird adventure ever..
