India 2005. My first exposure to and experience in a developing country. I found my five senses constantly overwhelmed in an attempt to process everything I encountered: the intense colors and smells, the constant bustle, and most of all the people. In this photograph I found myself drawn to the male/female contrast, particularly their body language. One felt open, even relaxed, while the other closed off and guarded. Their clothing even furthered this juxtaposition, especially in black & white.
