Lest We Forget - Anzac Day 2018
Anzac Day 2018 - each year Australia and Zealand commemorate all who have served and died during war, conflicts and peace keeping missions. Poppies are a symbol of this day and were inspired by the poem In Flanders Fields by John McCrae.
The 4,799 crosses in the Field of Remembrance today represent those from the Auckland Province who died between 1914 and 1918.
