    For me, this photo embodied the pop of color assignment. While shooting the Mingus Mill in the Oconaluftee section of the Great Smoky park last week, my plan had been to shoot the mountain community buildings in b/w. When I switched to a color photograph here, the pop of color jumped off the viewer. The way the varying morning light and shadows bounced off the gray gave this photo a bluish tint that I could not resist.
